ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) fans will have to wait a little longer to get their first glimpse of the group’s highly anticipated second Japanese EP, ‘回帰LOVE’. The K-pop rookies’ agency, WakeOne, announced on July 28 that the preview content, originally slated for midnight on July 29, has been officially postponed.
The decision comes in light of a powerful earthquake that struck Japan’s Kyushu region. According to reports, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake hit near Kumamoto City on the afternoon of July 28, with some areas experiencing the highest seismic intensity level of 7. The safety and well-being of those affected are paramount, and the K-pop industry often takes a sensitive approach during such challenging times.
WakeOne’s official statement confirmed the delay, noting, “Considering the impact of the earthquake in the Kyushu region, we have decided to postpone the release of the preview content.” This thoughtful move reflects a broader industry trend, as several other K-pop promotion schedules in Japan have also seen adjustments, including delayed broadcasts and content releases, out of respect and concern for the affected communities.
Despite the preview delay, ZEROBASEONE’s second Japanese EP, ‘回帰LOVE’, is still scheduled for its official release on August 19. Fans eager for new content will need to keep an eye out for a new preview schedule, which WakeOne has stated will be announced at a later date. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the recent earthquake in Japan.
