Lee Daehwi of Wanna One & AB6IX Signs with Off The Record

Exciting news for K-Pop fans! Lee Daehwi, beloved for his time in project group Wanna One and later AB6IX, has officially inked a deal with Off The Record, the company said Friday. This move marks a significant new chapter for the talented singer and songwriter.

Off The Record, an agency known for nurturing artists’ individual careers, is an arm of the powerhouse WakeOne Entertainment. This focus on solo endeavors aligns perfectly with Daehwi’s multifaceted talents as a performer, producer, and lyricist.

Lee Daehwi first burst onto the scene in 2017, debuting as a prominent member of the iconic project group Wanna One. Following Wanna One’s disbandment, he went on to form the popular four-piece act AB6IX. AB6IX recently announced in May that its contract with Brand New Music came to an end, with the group planning to take a break as a team, paving the way for Daehwi’s new solo venture.

Adding to the excitement, the singer and songwriter will now be under the same label as fellow Wanna One member Kim Jaehwan. Kim Jaehwan renewed his contract with Off The Record in May 2024, creating a familiar and supportive environment for Daehwi.

This signing comes shortly after a heartwarming reunion for Wanna One. The two, along with other members, reunited in April after a break of nine years, much to the delight of their global fanbase. The legendary group isn’t done yet either! Wanna One will join the lineup at KCON LA 2026 next week, promising an unforgettable performance. Fans can also look forward to sharing behind-the-scenes moments through an upcoming reality show, further fueling anticipation for their activities.

This new contract with Off The Record promises a bright future for Lee Daehwi, allowing him to explore his artistry to the fullest while maintaining strong ties to his Wanna One family.
