The production feels sleek, aiming for a moody, atmospheric vibe. However, a significant challenge emerges in its melodic execution. The song unfolds almost like a melody stuck in syrup, repeating variations of the same core riff without much evolution. It creates a rather monotonous flow, leaving the listener in a kind of melodic loop that ultimately feels stagnant. As a K-Pop track, where dynamic shifts and memorable hooks are often key, ‘Blue Mode’ unfortunately doesn’t quite achieve that sense of progression or a satisfying payoff. It’s a track that leaves you feeling like nothing was truly accomplished, and that’s a tough takeaway for any fan.
