Often with Japanese track releases, the music video for izna’s ‘Dumb Hot!’ arrived a few weeks after the song itself. Sometimes, this gap allows a track to forge its own identity before visuals set expectations. Clocking in at just over two minutes, ‘Dumb Hot!’ is mercifully brief and doesn’t demand much from its listener. If you absolutely must, it serves as background noise, but there are countless more engaging ways to soundtrack your day than an idol group rhyming “dumb hot” with “talk talk,” “one shot,” and “shock shock” without any discernible passion or interest. Ultimately, this feels like a song that doesn’t care, so why should we?
