RESCENE Woni Bullying Claims Resolved by Teacher’s Defense

RESCENE Woni Bullying Allegations Concluded: Homeroom Teacher Steps Forward with Defense

The school bullying allegations surrounding RESCENE member Woni have been definitively resolved, with her former middle school homeroom teacher stepping forward to vehemently refute the claims and provide substantial evidence of her exemplary character. The original anonymous accusation, which surfaced on August 1, has since been deleted.

Teacher’s Powerful Testimony Refutes Claims

On August 2, a netizen identifying as Woni’s homeroom teacher from her middle school years took to X (formerly Twitter) to discredit the bullying accusations. The teacher shared compelling supporting materials, including a handwritten letter from Woni, graduation photos, pictures with classmates, and message exchanges with other teachers who had also taught her.

The alleged homeroom teacher declared, “If Woni did anything wrong during her school years, then I take responsibility for not teaching her better. But I hope people will stop the indiscriminate criticism based on groundless claims.” They elaborated on Woni’s conduct, stating, “Woni served as a student council officer for the entire school and was a very diligent student who actively fulfilled her responsibilities.”

Recalling her time as a student, the teacher painted a picture of a thoughtful individual who often gave candy to teachers with affectionate remarks, saying, “I love you.” Woni was described as a diligent student consistently participating in student council activities, performance assessments, and various school events. Her commitment extended to serving as a school-wide student council officer and even actively participating in the school’s anti-bullying campaign. A touching anecdote shared was of Woni and her friends visiting a cake workshop the day before graduation to hand-make cakes for their teachers.

The teacher, who admitted to being a strict educator early in their career, added, “She was one of the students who respected me despite my strict guidance,” and shared a poignant memory of their farewell. “I vividly remember us hugging each other and crying as we said goodbye at graduation,” they recounted, highlighting their deep bond.

Further reinforcing Woni’s character, the teacher emphasized her lasting friendships. “The friends in those photos are still in regular contact today,” they explained, noting that “most of them even went on a two-day, one-night trip together this February. Woni couldn’t join because of her schedule.”

Allegations Deleted Following Teacher’s Intervention

Following the teacher’s heartfelt testimony, the original online post accusing Woni of school bullying was promptly deleted. By 9 AM KST on August 3, the account responsible for uploading the allegations had also been removed, signaling a clear resolution to the controversy.

As the situation subsided, the former teacher shared a final, reflective message. They wrote, “Everyone can make mistakes and unintentionally hurt others.” Quoting the Confucian saying, “When three people walk together, there is always someone I can learn from,” the teacher encouraged readers to “live a life where you can show love to both yourself and others.” The message concluded with a thank you to fans: “Thank you for cheering Woni on. Please continue to look kindly upon her and support her in the future,” before the teacher closed their X account as promised, having sufficiently clarified the facts.

The initial allegations surfaced on August 1 via an anonymous post on an online community, titled “Geoje City Exposure (I’m a classmate from the 11th middle school graduating class).” This post accused Woni of problematic behavior and association with a “delinquent clique.” However, the comprehensive rebuttals from her former homeroom teacher and several classmates quickly led to the allegations being widely deemed unfounded, culminating in the deletion of the original accusation.
