While a debut solo concert is usually a milestone for celebration, CORTIS’ opening shows quickly sparked a wave of criticism across online communities, with many attendees expressing disappointment that the concert failed to meet their expectations.
The Short Show: Runtime Sparks Frustration
A major point of contention for fans revolved around the concert’s surprisingly short runtime. The performance reportedly concluded after approximately 100 minutes – just one hour and 40 minutes – leaving many standing ticket holders, who had been admitted from 4 p.m., feeling shortchanged. The stage production itself also drew criticism from some attendees. Claims surfaced that choreography was notably scaled back during certain portions of the show, and member interactions, which fans cherish, were largely concentrated near the front standing section, leaving those further back feeling overlooked. Compounding these issues, some fans felt the group’s repeated requests for the audience to “put your phones down” – echoing the tour’s title – became excessive.
