Hybe’s New Girl Group Tuide Set for August Debut

SEOUL – Get ready, K-Pop world! Hybe, the powerhouse label behind global sensations BTS, is set to unleash its latest masterpiece: a brand-new girl group named Tuide. The highly anticipated septet will make its grand debut later this month, specifically on August 24th, with their first EP, “Tune & Play.”

Operating under ABD, a new label within the Hybe ecosystem, Tuide is poised to make a significant splash. The group introduces a vibrant lineup of seven talented members: Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Yi Hani. These rising stars, born between 2006 and 2011, bring a truly global flavor to the K-Pop scene, hailing from diverse cultural backgrounds including South Korea, the United States, Britain, and Japan.

Global Appeal & Veteran Leadership

“With their distinct individualities and multinational synergy, they plan to deliver a unique kind of enjoyment to global music fans,” the agency said in a statement, emphasizing Tuide’s commitment to international appeal.

The group is also being overseen by Han Sung-soo, a veteran producer known for shaping K-pop acts such as Seventeen, After School, Iz*one, and Tws. His involvement alone speaks volumes about the quality and potential of Tuide’s upcoming debut.

The Vision Behind Tuide & “Tune & Play”

The name “Tuide” itself is derived from the inspiring phrase “Tune the Tide,” reflecting the group’s powerful aspiration to beautifully harmonize diverse musical influences and forge a unified, distinctive sound.

The debut album’s title, “Tune & Play,” perfectly encapsulates the group’s musical direction: to skillfully weave together different musical languages into a single, cohesive rhythm, maximizing the pure joy found within that creative process, according to ABD.

Ahead of their official debut, Tuide gave a tantalizing sneak peek to selected fans in Seoul. Over the past Saturday and Sunday, the group held exclusive preview events, where they performed all tracks from their upcoming album. This early fan interaction has undoubtedly fueled immense anticipation for what promises to be one of the most exciting K-Pop debuts of the year.
