TRI.BE’s Soeun Confirms Group’s Silent Disbandment

The K-Pop world was deeply affected in 2024 by the sad news of renowned music producer Shinsadong Tiger’s passing. As the executive producer of TR Entertainment and a foundational figure in forming the girl group TRI.BE, his death had profound implications. The company subsequently faced bankruptcy, leading to TRI.BE being shuffled to another agency in a challenging transition.

After this difficult period, TRI.BE’s official social media accounts went silent in July 2025, a pause that many fans sadly interpreted as a silent disbandment. Now, a recent update from one of the members appears to confirm these long-held suspicions.

On August 19, a new video surfaced on the Giggle YouTube channel, featuring Korean girls reacting to deleted scenes from the popular American show Family Guy.

The video began with an introduction to Bang Soeun, who openly shared her background as a member of the girl group. She introduced herself clearly, stating that she “used to be a member of TRI.BE,” a heartbreaking confirmation for many fans.

Soeun went on to describe various aspects of idol life, offering a candid glimpse into the demanding reality behind the glamour. When asked if she would embark on that journey again, her answer was definitive: she stated that she would not and had completely moved on from that chapter of her life.

These statements, particularly Soeun’s past-tense reference to her membership and her unwillingness to return to idol life, seem to unequivocally confirm that TRI.BE did indeed quietly disband.

While it’s undoubtedly sad news for their dedicated fanbase, we wish Soeun and all the other talented members the absolute best in their future endeavors, whatever path they choose to pursue.
