The news broke on July 27 when Pledis Entertainment posted a notice titled “SEVENTEEN DK and Vernon Military Service Information” on the fan communication platform Weverse. This official statement provided detailed enlistment plans for both artists, reassuring fans while setting clear expectations for their temporary hiatus from group activities.

DK’s Active-Duty Service and Fan Etiquette

For DK, the agency confirmed his active-duty assignment. According to the announcement, DK will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the South Korean Army on September 8. Before his departure, The agency stated that he will complete all of his scheduled activities before his enlistment.
