K-Pop rising stars RESCENE are taking on a unique and exciting role that beautifully blends the vibrant world of K-Pop with the rich tapestry of Korean history. The talented girl group has officially been appointed as tourism ambassadors for Gyeongju, the ancient capital of the Silla dynasty.
RESCENE Embraces Gyeongju’s Ancient Charm
This significant appointment sees the five members — Woni, Liv, Minami, Mei, and Jena — stepping up to promote Gyeongju’s profound cultural heritage and captivating tourist attractions. RESCENE, who burst onto the scene in 2024 under THE MUZE Entertainment, have already made waves with their recent hits like “Love Attack” and “Pretty Girl,” showcasing their dynamic appeal.
Bringing History to Life: Promotional Shoot in Hanbok
The official welcoming ceremony for RESCENE by Gyeongju took place at the end of June. To commemorate this special occasion, the group participated in a stunning promotional shoot. They headed to Laone, a picturesque botanical garden nestled in Bomun-dong, where they immersed themselves in creating engaging digital content centered on the city’s invaluable historical and cultural treasures.
In a truly captivating display, the RESCENE members donned exquisite traditional hanbok, bringing history to life as they reenacted a Silla-era procession. They were accompanied by the majestic Silla Gochwidae, a traditional military band, adding an authentic touch to the historical recreation. The group toured various scenic spots within the garden, meticulously introducing key attractions across Gyeongju through a series of beautifully produced videos that highlight the breathtaking beauty of Silla-style scenery.
“Silla Princess” Certificates and Future Engagements
A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of honorary “Silla princess” certificates to the members. This symbolic gesture underscores their crucial role in sharing the enduring legacy of the ancient kingdom with a global audience. Fans will be thrilled to know that the captivating footage from this event will be released in both short and long formats on Gyeongju’s official social media channels, offering a detailed look at their historical journey.
Looking ahead, RESCENE’s involvement with Gyeongju is set to be extensive. The group will make appearances at major festivals and events held in the city, serve as prominent models for Gyeongju’s promotional materials, and actively participate in online campaigns, all aimed at significantly boosting tourism to this historically rich destination.
Gyeongju Mayor Joo Nak Young expressed his enthusiasm, sharing his hope that the upcoming videos featuring RESCENE will successfully introduce the city’s renewed charm to both their dedicated fanbase and tourists from around the world.
