NMIXX Makes Royal Impression: Meets UK’s Princess Anne in Seoul
K-pop’s rising stars NMIXX recently graced a prestigious reception in Seoul, making a memorable impression by meeting with Britain’s Princess Anne, the younger sister of King Charles III. The exclusive event, hosted by the British Embassy at the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on Tuesday, celebrated the robust partnership between the UK and Korea.
The Princess Royal, joined by representatives from Korea’s defense industry, academia, culture, and politics, personally exchanged greetings with the NMIXX members. The girl group showcased their signature elegance, appearing in coordinated white-and-beige ensembles, while Princess Anne radiated sophistication in a striking blue-and-gold checked suit.
NMIXX’s Inspiring Role as Empowerment Ambassadors
This significant encounter highlights NMIXX’s growing influence beyond the music scene. The group was appointed ambassadors for the British Embassy’s impactful girls’ empowerment campaign, “Girls Can Dream, Girls Can Achieve,” back in June. During their appointment ceremony, member Lily delivered an inspiring message, stating, “Girls do not need to have all the answers right now.” She further expressed her belief that “with faith, everything is possible,” hoping that NMIXX’s music would serve as a source of inspiration and encouragement for young women worldwide.

Princess Anne’s Visit Strengthens UK-Korea Friendship
Princess Anne’s current three-day tour of Korea, accompanied by her husband, Vice Adm. Sir Timothy Laurence, marks her first visit in eight years since her attendance at the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games. Reflecting on her experience, the Princess shared her admiration, saying, “Every time I visit Korea, I am impressed by how far Korea has come. I feel my knowledge expanding,” and conveyed her strong belief that the bond of friendship between the two nations is destined to strengthen even further.
K-Pop’s Enduring Global Impact
British Ambassador to South Korea, Colin Crooks, proudly announced the day’s events on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday, confirming, “The Princess Royal met President Lee Jae Myung and Nmixx yesterday.” This royal interaction also brings to mind another iconic moment from 2023, when fellow K-pop sensation Blackpink received honorary Members of the Order of the British Empire from King Charles III himself at Buckingham Palace, further solidifying K-pop’s global reach and cultural significance on the world stage.
