In a lengthy message posted on Tuesday, the former idol declared, “I will no longer engage in any SNS activity or further communication.” This statement came less than 24 hours after his initial return on Monday, which had generated significant buzz among fans and the wider K-pop community.
Lee revealed his intention to fully transition out of the public eye, stating, “I will return completely to the life of a person outside the entertainment industry, reflect on my past and live an upright life that I will not be ashamed of in society.”
Personal Revelations and a New Path
His initial Monday post had offered a glimpse into his life during his nearly decade-long absence. Lee candidly shared that he had “started a family” but was “in the process of sorting things out so we can each go our own way,” remarks widely interpreted as an acknowledgement of a marriage and subsequent separation.
Accompanying these revelations were photos showing him at an office, working on a laptop, and examining cosmetics. He further detailed his professional shift, explaining he had worked in beauty marketing for the past eight years. However, these specific details and photos were later removed from his post, with a revised version only vaguely noting that his personal life had undergone “several hardships.”
Addressing Speculation and Denying Comeback Rumors
The sudden return and the nature of his posts led to immediate speculation.
