His second LP “Youngest,” released in late July, is a staggering display of his talent, crediting the singer with writing, composing, and producing all 15 tracks. The album is a sonic journey, spanning an incredible breadth of genres including rock, pop, jazz, country, house, and ballad influences, marking his first solo LP in nearly three years. Speaking in a behind-the-scenes documentary released on YouTube, Young K perfectly articulated his ambition, saying that he “wanted listeners to be surprised by the breadth of genres explored throughout the album.”
Oh My Girl’s Mimi is also preparing to make her much-anticipated solo debut after more than a decade with the beloved group, promising to unveil a side of herself fans haven’t seen. She produced her upcoming single, “Bish Bash Bosh,” scheduled for release on Aug. 20, and actively participated in writing and composing the music. According to DSP Media, this exciting project is specifically intended to introduce “the real Mimi” by reflecting a musical identity that stretches far beyond what she created as an Oh My Girl member.
