K-Pop sensation Katseye is soaring to new heights, dominating charts and earning prestigious award nominations! Their prerelease single, “Animal,” has made an impressive climb on Billboard’s Hot 100, reaching No. 30 – a jump of five places from the previous week.
“Animal” Unleashes Global Chart Success
Released last month, “Animal” paved the way for the group’s highly anticipated third EP, “Wild,” which dropped on August 14. This vibrant dance-pop track made a spectacular debut, hitting the main songs chart at No. 24 and soaring to No. 5 on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global – marking its highest debuts on both rankings. The global impact of “Animal” continued to resonate, with the single ranking No. 16 on Billboard’s Global 200 and No. 19 on Billboard’s Global excl. US charts, both dated August 22. These achievements firmly establish Katseye as a global force in the K-Pop landscape.
Sophia Prioritizes Mental Health
Despite this wave of success, the group faces a temporary shift in their lineup. For the time being, however, only four members will promote the new album. Earlier this month, Sophia chose to take some time off for mental health reasons, a decision widely supported by fans and the industry for prioritizing well-being. Katseye’s dedicated fanbase is sending immense love and positive energy to Sophia during her break.
