Jennie’s Odd Atelier: US Branch Rumors Debunked
Blackpink’s Jennie is an undisputed global force, continuing to make history across the world’s biggest stages. However, recent reports suggesting the establishment of a US branch for her agency, Odd Atelier, in California have been officially clarified. The company told The Korea Herald on Monday that these claims are contrary to fact.
Media Reports & Global Activity Speculation
Local media outlets had widely reported on Sunday that Jennie had opened Odd Atelier’s first overseas branch in California and was already operating through the entity, OA Entertainment, Inc. These reports detailed that the entity was incorporated in California on October 13 and is currently listed as an “active corporation.” The media also speculated that this California entity was specifically established to support Jennie’s rapidly expanding global activities, particularly her high-profile appearances at major international music festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
Odd Atelier Sets the Record Straight
Odd Atelier, however, has firmly dismissed these claims. When contacted by The Korea Herald, the agency provided a clear statement:
“Odd Atelier has not established a branch in the US. We simply obtained a tax identification number,” the agency said. This statement directly contradicts the circulating reports, setting the record straight regarding their US presence.
Jennie’s Unstoppable Global Festival Run
Despite the clarification on the agency’s US branch, Jennie’s global festival circuit continues to be a major highlight, undeniably expanding her international footprint this year.
On July 9, she achieved a significant milestone by becoming the only K-pop artist to headline Spain’s Mad Cool Festival. Earlier in the same month, she also made history by becoming the first K-pop artist to headline both Denmark’s Roskilde Festival and Poland’s Open’er Festival in the same year.
Upcoming International Engagements
Looking ahead, Jennie’s packed schedule promises even more iconic performances.
She is next scheduled to perform at Lollapalooza Chicago on July 31 and August 1, followed by Summer Sonic 2026 in Tokyo and Osaka on August 14 and 16, respectively. Her continuous global endeavors solidify her status as a leading figure in K-pop’s international expansion.
