EXO’s D.O. and his agency have issued a firm update regarding their legal response to malicious online activity targeting the artist. The entertainment company, Blitzway Entertainment, is taking a no-compromise approach to protect the beloved idol from harmful online content.
Agency’s Unwavering Stance Against Malice
On August 5, Blitzway Entertainment released a powerful statement on its official social media, sharing that it has been consistently monitoring online communities, social media, and various platforms for content that infringes on the rights of its artists, including D.O. The agency reported that it found numerous posts and comments involving the spread of false information, defamation, insults, malicious slander, sexual harassment, and invasion of privacy. In response, Blitzway Entertainment confirmed that it is pursuing civil and criminal legal action against the individuals responsible for these acts.
No Leniency: Anonymity Will Not Protect Perpetrators
The company said that even if offending posts are deleted or set to private, it will move forward with legal proceedings based on the evidence already collected. It also clarified that anonymity will not protect perpetrators, as the agency can identify and hold them accountable under the law. Blitzway Entertainment encouraged fans to actively report any harmful content they encounter, reinforcing its commitment to protecting its artists. The agency added that it will take a strong stance without agreeing to any settlements or showing leniency to offenders going forward.
D.O.’s Busy Schedule Continues Amidst Legal Action
Amid these legal efforts, D.O. continues a busy schedule. In January, he took part in EXO’s eighth full-length album, ‘REVERXE,’ and the group is currently on its sixth world tour, ‘EXO PLANET.’ Last month, D.O. appeared on the variety program ‘Kong Kong Farm.’ He is also set to lend his voice to the upcoming animated film ‘Free Dogs,’ slated for release on August 19.
Blitzway Entertainment’s latest announcement signals ongoing vigilance and a firm approach to protecting the artist’s reputation and rights.
