Sunoo Sits Out Enhypen’s Mexico City Concert Due to Health
SEOUL – Enhypen member Sunoo was unable to perform at the K-pop boy band’s concert in Mexico City on July 14 due to a sudden health issue, according to the group’s agency Belift Lab. The unfortunate announcement was made less than two hours before the show was set to begin, a part of Enhypen’s ongoing “Blood Saga” world tour.
Belift Lab swiftly released a statement through the global fan community Weverse, informing fans, “Due to a sudden decline in his condition, Sunoo will unfortunately be unable to participate in today’s Enhypen World Tour ‘Blood Saga’ In Mexico City concert.” The agency requested understanding from the dedicated fanbase, adding, “We kindly ask for your understanding.” While emphasizing their commitment to supporting Sunoo’s recovery to ensure his return in good health as soon as possible, the specific nature of the 23-year-old idol’s condition was not disclosed.
For the Mexico City concert, Enhypen’s lineup featured Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Ni-Ki. Fans may recall that Heeseung had previously left the band in March to pursue a solo career under the new name Evan.
Fans and Members Express Concern
The unexpected absence of Sunoo was profoundly felt by both the concert-goers and his fellow members. After Enhypen’s concert in Mexico City concluded, a devoted fan shared a group photo on the band’s Weverse community, accompanied by a heartfelt message: “Thank you for doing your best today. I hope Sunoo gets well soon. Great job, everyone.” The photo notably featured only the five members who performed that night, visually underscoring Sunoo’s absence. Jungwon, one of the performing members, commented on the post, expressing a sentiment shared by many: “It looks so empty with one member missing.”

The Mexico City concert marked the final of Enhypen’s three-show run in the city, wrapping up the third stop on their Latin American tour. Prior to Mexico, the “Blood Saga” tour had brought the group to Sao Paulo in Brazil and Lima in Peru. The tour is scheduled to resume in Dallas on July 17, kicking off a series of seven shows across the United States.
