Cortis Kicks Off “Put Your Phone Down” North American Tour
K-pop phenomenon Cortis has officially launched the North American leg of its first tour, “Put Your Phone Down,” marking another significant milestone in its rapid global rise less than a year after its explosive debut. The highly anticipated tour began on Tuesday, with the five-member group opening their North American journey in Toronto, before heading to New York, Atlanta, Irving, Los Angeles and San Francisco through Aug. 16 . This series of shows promises unforgettable nights for North American fans, showcasing Cortis’s dynamic performances and undeniable stage presence.
Global Sold-Out Success and Lollapalooza Triumph
The North American kickoff follows a string of impressive achievements, including Cortis’s sold-out opening concerts in Incheon in July. Just days prior to their Canadian debut, the group made history by performing at Lollapalooza Chicago, where it was the only K-pop boy group on this year’s lineup and drew an estimated crowd of 50,000 enthusiastic fans. The global demand for Cortis is undeniable: according to Big Hit Music, all 14 concerts across the tour’s nine-city itinerary in Korea, North America and Japan have completely sold out. Even their upcoming shows in Japan, scheduled for Sept. 4-6 at Pia Arena MM in Kanagawa, also sold out during both membership presales and general ticket sales on Tuesday . This widespread sellout further solidifies Cortis’s position as a global touring powerhouse, proving their massive appeal worldwide.
“GreenGreen” & “RedRed” Dominate Global Charts
Cortis’s momentum extends far beyond the stage to global music charts. Their second EP, “GreenGreen,” continues its remarkable run on the Billboard 200 for a 12th consecutive week, ranking No. 114 on the chart dated Aug. 8. Since its impressive debut at No. 3 in May, the album continues to set the record for the longest Billboard 200 run by a K-pop boy group that debuted within the past five years. “GreenGreen” also achieved top spots on other major charts, ranking No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart and No. 8 on Top Album Sales. The lead track, “RedRed,” has also been a chart staple, remaining on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. US charts for a stellar 14th consecutive week, while also spending 100 consecutive days on Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart as of July 30 . These sustained chart performances are a testament to their widespread musical appeal and the group’s profound impact on the global music scene.
Anniversary Concerts & Future Global Appearances
After wrapping up their North American leg, Cortis will return to Korea for a special celebration of their first anniversary. These highly anticipated concerts, titled “Put Your Phone Down Birthday Party,” will take place at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium on Aug. 22 and 23. Following these anniversary shows, the group will conclude their tour with three final performances in Kanagawa. The global journey doesn’t end there, as Cortis is also scheduled to appear at Rock in Japan Festival 2026 on Sept. 20 as well as the prestigious Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in October . Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting what incredible feats Cortis will accomplish next as they continue their meteoric rise in the K-pop industry.
