Viral Fancam Fuels Netizen Outcry

A fancam shared of the idol has since gone viral, showing her performing. It is currently sitting at over 1.4 million views.

In the quotes of the post, netizens expressed negative thoughts over what she was wearing. In the past, other female idol’s outfits have been scrutinized, with their agencies being accused of sexualizing those with larger breasts specifically.

The quotes of this post also mirrored this thought process.

“Seriously, Waterbomb needs to disappear. When female idols wear clothes that cover up their bodies there, Korean men make a huge fuss, saying things like, ‘Why are you so covered up?’ or ‘Are you too full of yourself?’ I hate that this mindset has developed that singers are supposed to take their clothes off at Waterbomb.” “Ah, seriously, please don’t… I’m begging you. What is her agency even doing? My heart feels like it’s breaking.” “Seriously, it fucking sucks that all these female idols who haven’t made it big end up taking the ‘boobs route.’ Do they really have to go this far, even if it means degrading themselves?”
