BTS’s V and Jungkook have shared deeply personal health updates with their dedicated fanbase, ARMY, revealing challenges they’ve been quietly facing amidst their demanding “ARIRANG” world tour. The disclosures came during an intimate Weverse livestream, where the two bandmates shared a meal after their Tuesday performance in Baltimore.
V’s Two-Year Battle with Hearing Difficulties
V, known for his captivating stage presence, opened up about a private struggle, confessing, “I’ve never told ARMY this before, but my hearing hasn’t been good for the past two and a half years.” He further detailed the extent of his hearing difficulties, explaining a significant imbalance: “If the hearing in my left ear is at 100, it’s only about 30 in my right.” To manage this condition, V has been diligently “taking medication regularly and seeing doctors for treatment.” This revelation sheds light on the immense dedication and perseverance V has shown throughout his recent performances.
Jungkook’s Shin Injury Threatens Tour Performance
Bandmate Jungkook also shared a concerning health update, disclosing a shin injury that has impacted his movement on the North American leg of the tour. “I’m on the verge of developing a stress fracture in my shin,” Jungkook revealed, describing how the pain has prevented him from performing with his usual explosive energy. He expressed his frustration, stating, “I really wanted to run around onstage today, but there were moments when it hurt too much for me to do so.” While he clarified that he doesn’t have a full stress fracture, his shin is “badly inflamed and the bone may have sustained minor damage.” Despite the pain, Jungkook assured fans of his commitment: “I’ll manage the injury as carefully as I can so that I can keep performing.” He added that he would “run when I absolutely need to, but at other times I’ll have to force myself to hold back if I’m going to make it through this tour,” requesting the understanding of fans.
