Ensuring Estadio Nacional’s Protection
The approved revisions are a testament to responsible planning, incorporating technical modifications specifically designed to protect Estadio Nacional’s vital sports infrastructure. Key changes include preventing heavy machinery from traversing the grass during the 360-degree stage setup; instead, cranes will operate from the athletics track. Furthermore, a state-of-the-art protective covering equipped with ventilation technology will be installed to ensure the grass remains healthy throughout the entire production. Authorities were satisfied with the comprehensive engineering study that accompanied the revised proposal, expecting it to significantly shorten the field’s recovery time compared to the original plans.
