BTS Dominates Billboard Hot 100 with “Normal” Reentry & FIFA World Cup Impact

ARMY, get ready to celebrate! K-pop superstars BTS have once again proven their unstoppable global power, making a spectacular return to the U.S. Billboard charts. Their beloved track “Normal,” from the critically acclaimed fifth studio album “Arirang,” has rocketed back onto the Billboard Hot 100, landing at an impressive No. 33! This follows the highly anticipated release of its captivating music video and a new Korean-language version, reigniting fan excitement worldwide. “Normal” originally debuted at No. 41 back in April, spending three weeks on the chart before its brief hiatus. But BTS is back with a vengeance!

The “Arirang” album itself is soaring, climbing 17 spots to claim a formidable No. 9 on the Billboard 200 main albums chart. Not stopping there, the album’s lead single, “Swim,” also made significant waves, jumping 15 places to land at No. 85. This incredible surge is largely attributed to BTS’s electrifying, headlining performance at the historic first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show last week – a moment that undoubtedly captivated millions globally and reminded everyone of BTS’s unparalleled stage presence.

Meanwhile, Hybe’s powerhouse girl groups – Le Sserafim, ILLIT, and Katseye – continued their impressive run with “Iconic by Mistake,” now in its sixth week on the chart at No. 74, showing incredible longevity and fan dedication.

On the competitive Billboard 200 albums chart, the original soundtrack for the hit Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” debuted impressively at No. 28. Ateez’s dynamic “Golden Hour: Part. 5” secured No. 121, while Cortis’ “GreenGreen” and Katseye’s “Beautiful Chaos” also charted at Nos. 126 and 148 respectively, proving the diverse and expansive reach of K-pop across various genres and artists.
