BLACKPINK’s Lisa has delivered a heartfelt apology to fans, addressing the widespread disappointment surrounding the group’s recent 10th-anniversary event. Her message, shared on a fan communication platform, comes almost a week after the celebration drew significant criticism for its organization and limited scale.

Lisa Shares Her Heartfelt Regret

“It’s been almost a week since our 10th anniversary,” Lisa began on Friday. “There have been some matters that have been circulating online. It makes me sad and I’m truly sorry about how things turned out.” Reflecting on the fan experience, she added, “I can’t even imagine how sad this must have been because I was too.”

The global superstar emphasized the intended significance of the occasion. “It was supposed to be a special moment and a time of celebration for all of us,” she said, expressing deep regret over how the anniversary unfolded. “I’m not here to justify anything or make a point. I just wanted to honor the love and connection we shared. I’m truly grateful that we were able to come together.” She concluded her message with a hopeful note: “I hope we can carry the love we shared with us moving forward. Thank you for always being there for us.”

The Controversial 10th Anniversary Event

The event in question was a fan gathering held at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul’s Yongsan District on August 8th. Intended to mark a decade since BLACKPINK’s debut, the celebration quickly became a source of fan frustration. The primary points of contention included the incredibly short notice – only two days prior to the event – and the severely restricted guest list, with only 40 fans invited. Speculation about potential member absences also fueled anxieties, although all four members ultimately attended.

Despite the members’ presence, fans voiced immense disappointment. For a group of BLACKPINK’s global stature, a celebration featuring a mere 10-minute livestream and a main event lasting only about 30 minutes felt profoundly inadequate. Many BLINKs (BLACKPINK’s official fandom) felt the scale did not match the group’s monumental achievement.

Bandmates Also Expressed Apologies

Lisa’s apology follows similar sentiments expressed by her bandmates. Jisoo previously conveyed her sorrow, stating, “I think this anniversary is a day when I feel especially sorry. My heart feels heavy because so many BLINKs are upset.” Rosé also shared her regret, acknowledging, “I think I had a lot of regrets as we marked our 10th anniversary. It wasn’t that I didn’t understand how the fans felt. Rather, I related to those feelings so much that it took me some time to figure out what to say first.” She added, “I feel heavyhearted because I think I made you feel even more alone during that time.”

With Lisa now joining Jisoo and Rosé, three of BLACKPINK’s four members have publicly acknowledged and apologized for the disappointment surrounding their 10th-anniversary event, underscoring the group’s understanding of their fans’ sentiments.

Lisa’s Recent Rumors

Separately, Lisa has recently been involved in dating rumors with Thai actor Blue Pongtiwat. Neither party has issued a statement regarding this speculation.
