ALPHADRIVEONE’s Sanghyeon to Undergo Vocal Cord Surgery

Korean K-Pop fans are sending their well wishes to ALPHADRIVEONE’s talented member, Sanghyeon, who will be temporarily halting his activities to undergo important surgery. This news comes as the group prepares for their highly anticipated comeback.

Sanghyeon’s Hiatus for Vocal Cord Surgery

ALPHADRIVEONE’s Sanghyeon will pause his activities to undergo surgery for a vocal cord polyp. According to the group’s agency WakeOne on August 4, the member had experienced ongoing throat discomfort, and medical examinations confirmed the need for the procedure.

The surgery is scheduled for August 5. Doctors have advised Sanghyeon to rest his voice for about three weeks afterward, avoiding any vocal strain during recovery. He will be absent from all official schedules from August 5 through August 22.

Impact on Comeback and WakeOne’s Commitment

This necessary break unfortunately overlaps with promotions for ALPHADRIVEONE’s highly anticipated second mini-album ‘UNBREAKABLE : 少年BEAST,’ which is set for release on August 24. Despite the timing, the agency’s focus remains squarely on Sanghyeon’s well-being.
WakeOne said the member’s health is its top priority and that it would monitor his recovery closely.

After sufficient rest and medical clearance, Sanghyeon will gradually resume vocal activities under careful management. The agency asked fans to follow official channels for any updates on his schedule.
