ALL(H)OURS is facing a fresh round of criticism just days after being called out for cultural appropriation.
A recent post on the group’s X account has sparked major backlash among fans, reigniting a fiery debate within the K-Pop community.

While it may have been related to a “one truth, two lies” game the group had previously been playing on their account, many fans are reading the post as dismissive and tone-deaf given ALL(H)OURS’ recent controversy, adding fuel to the ongoing discussion about accountability and fan communication.

Earlier this week, the popular K-Pop group came under fire for teasers from their upcoming sixth mini album, UNBOUND. The initial controversy specifically centered on member Hyunbin, who was seen styled with cornrows. Cornrows have deep, significant roots in Black culture and history, a style often associated with resilience and identity, and many Black people have historically faced stigma and discrimination for wearing this hairstyle. As such, fans, particularly Black K-Pop stans, quickly called out the styling as an instance of cultural appropriation, expressing widespread disappointment and hurt across social media platforms.

Shortly afterwards, EDEN Entertainment, the agency managing ALL(H)OURS, responded with an official statement addressing the criticism directly. In their statement, the agency acknowledged the concerns and asked fans for understanding regarding the already-completed concept photos and music video, citing that they did not have the means or time to reshoot the content due to production timelines.

We understand that hairstyles such as cornrows carry important cultural and historical significance, and we recognize why the styling used in the promotional content caused concern and discomfort for the audience. It was never our intention to disrespect, appropriate, or diminish the cultural meaning associated with this hairstyle.
We take the concerns raised by the audience seriously and will use what we have learned to be more thoughtful and responsible in our decision-making moving forward.

However, despite the agency’s statement, many fans remain deeply disappointed that the controversial teasers featuring the cornrows styling remain live and visible on the group’s social media platforms. The lack of removal or further action has only intensified the fan base’s frustration. Since the controversy initially erupted, Hyunbin, the member involved in the styling, has not addressed the matter personally, leaving many fans hoping for a direct acknowledgment from the artist regarding the situation.
